He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Sydney Dodson and Gloria Helene Lepire Dodson; his grandmother Eula Mae Dodson; his stepfather Vito Benedetto; and his brother Jimmy Lee Benedetto.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Dodson; his friend Mary Dodson; his children, Misti Chapman (Eric), John Dodson (Sarah) and Christopher Dodson; his granddaughters, Danielle and Evelyn; his siblings, Sandy Wilkinson (John), Allen Dodson (Rose) and Mary Dice (Tim); and his sister-in-law Kristine Benedetto. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
