He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie D. Hopkins and Bernice Chatham Hopkins; his wife Mary Ann; and his siblings, Willie D. Hopkins, Jr., Francis Hopkins, Edna Sandlin and Kenneth Hopkins.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Hopkins, Jr. (Linda) of Austin, Suzie Holcomb of Ft. Worth, Terry Hopkins (Victor Corpuz) of Dallas, Bill Hopkins (Stephanie) of Alvin, David Hopkins of Austin and Carol Prater of Temple; his grandchildren, Chris Hopkins (Nicole), Mary Katherine Hopkins, Amanda Doering (Zach), Jennifer Patel (Vivek), Stephen Holcomb, Laura Holcomb, Stefano Corpuz, John Hopkins, Dustin Prater (Kristen) and Jeffrey Prater; his great grandchildren, Jessie, Aubrey, Luke, Isaac, Skylar, Ethan, Alex, Brooks and Zayn; and his sister Opal Erlanson (Tommy) of Waco.
