She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Robert L. Nesler and Jessie Alene Nesler (Wiegand); her husband Oscar Benton Barefoot; her son Michael Barefoot; her sister Virginia Wentzel; her daughter Lisa Chadwell (Mark) of Temple; her daughter-in-law Janice Barefoot of Temple; her brother Larry Nesler (Sue) of Rockport, Indiana; her granddaughters, Laura O'Donnell (Vince), Ella Scott (Jeremy), Chelsea Knutson (Parker) and Samantha Mancha (David); and her great grandchildren, Ethan, Molly, Henry, Charlie, Marshall and Genova Carolyn.

Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to the Love of Christ Ministries or the Cherokee Childrens Home.
