She was predeceased by: her father James W. Smith. She is survived by: her husband John A. Byars of Temple; her children, Christopher Wells of Temple, Jasmine Connell (Seon) of Temple and Destinee Byars of Temple; her mother Alma Dean Allen (Thurman) of Temple; and her siblings, Dexter Smith of Houston, Michael Smith (Stacy) of Temple, Jennifer Bennett (Dewitt) of Temple and Sylvia Bailey (Adam) of Temple. She is also survived by four grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
