With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Jean Broughton of Temple, Texas, who passed away on September 25, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ervin Vince Cawthron and Jean Casler Kennedy Cawthron; her husband James William Broughton; and her sister Margaret Teague. She is survived by: her children, W. E. "Bill" Broughton, JimAnn Broughton and Kathleen Broughton; her grandchildren, Doctor James E. Bridges (Jeb), Kayla B. Broughton and Shannon M. Broughton; and her great grandchildren, Jordan, James and Ervin Bridges.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or to a charity of your choice.
