Benjamin Earl Dugger Obituary

Benjamin Earl Dugger was born December 14, 1932 to Laura Motl Dugger and Benjamin Franklin Dugger in Killeen, TX and passed away June 15, 2020 in Temple, TX where he rejoined his wife of 60 years, Lorraine Dugger. Mr. Benjamin Earl Dugger was a Korean War Veteran and a member of the United States Air Force. He was a life-long member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3892 in Harker Heights. He was a dedicated volunteer at the Veterans Administration Hospital and held a national position. Mr. Dugger retired after many dedicated years at McDowell Enterprises and later Cooper and Bright Plumbing. He served the Central Texas area for over 40 years as a skilled plumber and A/C repairman. He enjoyed fishing, working in his woodshop, tending to his yard, volunteering, and thoroughly enjoyed watching his old Westerns. He was most proud of his family and considered them his biggest success. His family will miss him dearly, but he will not be forgotten. May he rest in peace.

Funeral Services will be held at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery with military honors, on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at 10:00 AM.

He leaves behind Stephen Dugger of Killeen, William Dugger (Kim Dugger) of Harker Heights, and Kimberly Bales (Joel Bales) of Temple. He also leaves eight grandchildren: Crystal Shimabukuro of Temple, Jared Nicoloff of Temple, Lyndsey Diaz of Belton, Chad. Dugger of Jarrell, Courtney Bradford of Killeen, Lance Dugger of Harker Heights, Bryson Bales of Temple, and Ethan Bales of Temple. He was also blessed with six great-grandchildren. He is survived by sister LoeNell Dugger Wilson (Roger Wilson) of Waco, brother Jerry Don Dugger (Carol Dugger) of Belton.

He was preceded in death by brothers Charles Dugger of St. Paul, Minnesota and James Dugger of Killeen.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VFW Post 3892 of Harker Heights.
