He was predeceased by: his parents, Arch Corley Koontz, Sr. and Nora Young Koontz; and his sister Lucille Koontz Morris. He is survived by: his wife Gail Koontz; his children, Arch Corley Koontz, III (Trey) and April Dawn Koontz Goplen; his stepson Jeffrey Clinton Benavidez; and his siblings, Jane Koontz Rainey, Mary Ann Koontz Leach and John Koontz.
