With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Allen L. Newman of Temple, Texas, born in Duncan, Oklahoma, who passed away on February 24, 2021 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Wesley and Pearl Barber Newman; his wife Cleta Maxine Pierce; his sons, Max Newman (Traci) of Temple and Steven Newman (Terry) of Elgin, Texas; his grandsons, Jarrod Newman (Lindsay) of Temple, Derek Newman (Dominque) of Woodway, Collin Mayo (Carissa) of Temple, Jason Mayo (Cassidy) of Temple, Colton Mayo of Temple, Luis Pesquera (Maeve) of Paso Robles, CA and Alex Pesquera (Sarah) of Los Angeles, CA; and his siblings, Mary Fern Stewart of Oklahoma City, Melva Hines of Sulphur, OK, Wayne Newman (Virginia) of Walters, OK, Paul Newman (Francine) of Claud, OK, Philip Newman (Deanna) of Claud, OK., John, Imon Newman and Wynola Eaton. He was also cherished by eight great-grandsons, three great-granddaughters and two more great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Immanuel Baptist Church library fund.
