Wanda McSwane Burks Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 7, 2022, at the age of 85, Wanda McSwane Burks (Teague, Texas) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her children, Kerry Burks and Debbie Strader; her grandson Korey Burks; her parents, Alden McSwane and Cora McSwane; and her brothers, W. R. McSwane and Jerry McSwane.
She is survived by: her husband Rufus Burks of Donie; her son Joey Burks (Becky) of Teague; her grandchildren, Mike Strader (Leah), Kerrisa Burks, Angie McAdams (Tony), Keitha Whitaker, Kensey Tucker (Bruce), Kylen Burks and Kelsie Palmore (Chase); and her sisters-in-law, Freddie McSwane and Myrtle McSwane. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Eighth Avenue Baptist Church, 201 South 8th Avenue, Teague, TX 75860.
