He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Oscar Otis and Ida Vernon Eddings Smith; his wife Elizabeth Irene Smith; his children, Roger Bruce Smith, Neil Ray Smith (Dixia) and Janet Drew Remmers (Galen); his grandchildren, Roger Allen Smith (Elaine, Nathan Drew), David Alexander Remmers (JeriAnne, Samuel Ray), Stephen Lucas Smith, Lucy Alexis Leonard (Nate, Megan Elizabeth) and Lauren Elizabeth Smith; and his great grandchild Caymen Allyn Smith. He was also cherished by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Jeanne Smith Jordan Endowment, The University of New Mexico Foundation, Two Woodward Center, 700 Lomas BLVD.
