He was predeceased by: his mother Paula Sanchez; his siblings, Gloria Mendoza, Santa Mendoza and Junior Benardo; his grandson Daniel Martinez; and his great grandchild Reyna Vargas.
He is survived by: his wife Rebeca Garcia of Teague; his children, Oscar Garcia, Paula Garcia (Jesus Hernandez), Becky Garcia, Alma Villa (Jose'), Norma Jasso (Raul Jasso Hernandez) and Patricia Garcia; and his siblings, Adela Mendoza, Ana Maria Mendoza, Rosa Mendoza and Jesus Mendoza. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
