He is survived by: his close friend Craig Oakes; his wife Penny Lancaster; his children, Wayne (Teague), Laurie (Brad Burnett) and Craig (Courtney Carpenter); his grandchildren, Lexi, Kyle Bordelon, Brady Burnett and Kelsey Carpenter; his sisters, Vernell Sunday, Mary (Joe Loving), Jo Ann (John Brown), Melba Hullum, Lona (Larry Cates), Dorothy Darby and Carolyn (Billy Bob Hunt); his siblings-in-law, Terry Lancaster, Bob Lancaster (Barbara) and Jill Harryman (Jimmy); his grandsons, Denali Carpenter, Kasen Carpenter, Bradley Harryman, Kenneth Brown and Steven Steen; and his close friends, Lane Hall, Marcus Steen, Richard Johnson, Jerry Maggard, Bill Allison, Jimmy Ashley and John David Teer. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bowers Funeral Home (900 US-84, Teague, TX 75860). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
