Carolyn Long Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Long (Teague, Texas), born in Oakwood, Texas, who passed away on December 11, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruby Whiteside and Delma Ray Whiteside; and her brothers, Lindel (Buddy) and Morris. She is survived by: her children, David Ray Long (Eva), Anita Kay Long, Derran Vernon Long and John Paul Long (Judy); her husband Slick Long; her grandchildren, Joshua Long, Kori Long, Jason Long, Lynnette Long Fuselier, Ashley Long, Danielle Long Barrios, Victoria Long Muller and Kaitlyn Long; and her friends, Sue Jordan, Joann Barker, Marcia White, Bonnie McCeig, Charlotte Chase, Nila Smitherman and Dixie Martin. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law.
