We are sad to announce that on January 21, 2024, at the age of 92, Walter J. Miller of Taylor, Texas, born in Alice, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Miller and Erna Miller (Frosch); his brother Clifford; his sister-in-law Paula Miller; his sister Virginia; and his brothers-in-law, Vic Swanson and Bill Wietstruck (Ruth Ann).
He is survived by: his wife Mary Evelyn Miller; his children, Debbie (George Matthys), Michael (Margaret Miller) and John (Trisha Miller); his brother-in-law James Wietstruck (Janice); and his grandchildren, Rachel Matthys Smith (Brad), Kelli Matthys Hammon (Jeff), Allyson Matthys (Andrew Barry), Bethany Matthys Lee (Colton), Trey Majors (Robin), Michael Majors (Katie), Jake Miller (Caitlin), Corey Miller (Allyson) and Zach Miller (Cameron). He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the SPJST Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Taylor, Tx; the Alzheimer's Association; Texas Lutheran University or Wartburg Seminary.
