It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel Ross Sr. of Taylor, Texas, born in Gay Hill, Texas, who passed away on December 18, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie "Jim" Ross and Mabel Ross (Mitchell); his former wife Senora Ross (Currington); and his brothers, Leroy and Eugene.
He is survived by: his wife Vivian L. Francis Ross; his daughter Verna McKentie; and his grandchildren, Keisha Moore (Eric) of Garland, Waymon Ross, Jr. of Austin, Motrice McKentie III of Houston, Dexter McKentie (Angel) of Houston, Cicely Mckentie of Houston, Colin Mckentie (Teara) of Alvin, Stephanie Gaston (Jay) of Duncanville, Samuel Ross III of Dallas, Chandreia Owens of Dallas, DeShay Carter (Nathalia) of Houston, Nicholas Ross of Carrollton, Brooke Ross of Carrollton, Lauren Reed (Sam) of Virginia, Meghan Winston (Evan) of Chicago, Simone Roberts of New York, Celeste Roberts of Lubbock and Corinne Roberts of Houston.
Due to COVID, masks are required and the family will have an invitation-only, private ceremony.
