He is survived by: his wife Ezelia Ruiz; his children, Beatrice Villanueva (Max Jr.), Sylvia Kaser (Steve), Mary Lefner (Ben Jr.), Irene Medrano (Jose Luis) and Richard Jr. Ruiz (Rebecca); his grandchildren, Max Villanuava III, Mary E. Lefner, Michelle Rodriguez, Richard Ruiz III, Sierra Kaser, Sienna Kaser, Giovanni Ruiz, Dominic Ruiz and Stevie Kaser; and his siblings, Alice Pena, Dolores Hernandez, Joe Angel Ruiz, Taylor, John Ruiz of Wichita Falls and Mike Solis of Forth Worth, TX..
