He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard W. Randig and Ida Randig (Tieman); and his siblings, Clarence "Butch" Randig, Melvin "Mac" Randig, Olga Mikulencak, Dorothy Mikulencak and Laverne Stephens.

He is survived by: his wife Katsumi "Kitty" Utsuno; his pets, Mariko, Mitzi, Karen, Ashley, Tobi Rutter, Sam, Dana, David, Cali, Dakota and Addy Johnson; and his siblings-in-law, Doris Randig and Seiichi Yamguchi. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In Lieu of Flowers, donations may be sent to St John's Lutheran Church in Thrall, Texas.
