He was predeceased by: his parents, Esperanza Canales and Taurino Canales. He is survived by: his former spouse Leon Castor Sr.; his wife Sarah A. Canales; his children, Larry Jr. Canales, Danny Canales, Julio Canales, Linda Canales, Ricky Canales Sr. and Rocky Canales; and his siblings, Tony Castor, Mary Castor, Felix Castor, Johnny Castor, Connie Castor and Jesse Canales. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Providence Funeral Home (807 Carlos G Parker Blvd NW, Taylor, TX 76574). A rosary was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (111 W Rio Grande St, Taylor, TX 76574). A burial was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St Mary's Catholic Cemetery (520 Washburn St, Taylor, TX 76574).
