With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Larry Flippin Sr. of Taylor, Texas, born in Giddings, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 22, 2024 at the age of 74. He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Flippin and Mary Markert; his stepparents, Monroe Markert and Lee Ellen Flippin; and his brother Claude Flippin, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Marie Urbanek; his children, Sheryl Smith (Paul, Sr.), Larry Flippin, Jr., Michelle Hernandez (Rick) and James Flippin (Cody); his grandchildren, Ashley Ventura (Carlos), Paul Smith, Jr., Ryan Smith, Alison Smith, Joshua Hernandez, April Hernandez and Brandon Hernandez; his great grandchild Eli Ventura; and his siblings, Donna Halliburton (Lee), Frankie Flippin, Denise Urban (Kenny) and Debra Koslan (Dennis Smith). He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
