She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Randolph Dempsey and Ruth Lestarjette Leavell Dempsey; and her husband Richard Charles Sheppard. She is survived by: her daughters, Margaret "Maggie" Sheppard Doria (Jeff Doria) and Sara Kathleen Sheppard Beekman (Jon Beekman); her grandchildren, Chelsea Kaye Doria Seevers (Curtis Seevers), Christian Charles Doria (Brittany Doria), Joshua Michael Doria (Katie Doria), Jordan Scott Doria, Savanna Kate Beekman and Jillian Emma Beekman; her great grandchildren, Jaxon Ray Seevers, Georgia Grace Seevers, Piper Linda Seevers and Killian Charles Doria; her nephew Christopher Charles Sheppard (Alyssa Sheppard); and her niece Aburi Lynn Sheppard Minerd (Dave Minerd).

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Grimes Funeral Chapels. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Glen Rest Cemetery.
