He is survived by: his spouse Chestina Martin; his brother Livie Gault; his sons, Elroy Thomas, Sr. of Taylor and Leroy Smith of Midland, Texas; his grandchildren, Tanya Thomas, Kimberly Thomas, Elroy Thomas, Jr., Danielle Smith, Leroy Smith, Jr. and Tazer Smith-Hall; and his sister Mary Jo Thomas Reid of Biloxi. He is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
