He is survived by: his wife Genevieve Tomsu Friesenhahn of Taylor, Texas; his daughters, Theresa Veilleux (Marty) and Dianne Friesenhahn; and his brother Larry Friesenhahn (Joanne Crawley). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
