It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Franklin of Taylor, Texas, born in Austin, Texas, who passed away on October 22, 2021, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Earl "Pa" Franklin and Georgia Easley Franklin; his brothers, Roderick and Paul Andre Franklin; and his stepbrothers, Ronnie Hardeman and Billy Holmes.
He is survived by: his great-uncle Rev. Bill Jones; his wife Pamela Franklin; his sons, Jamal Franklin, Taraile Franklin and Dietrick Franklin; his stepchildren, Anissa Everett, Cynthia Carter and Deon Harris; his siblings, James, Jr., Cedric Carl, Maurice Franklin of Austin, Tamara Franklin, Marcella Simms (Oscar) and Lottie Franklin of Austin; his siblings-in-law, Lana Terry, Crystal Waters, Anthony (Mae) and Robert Terry; and his grandsons, Elijah Franklin and Dietrick Franklin, Jr.. He is also survived by two twin great grandsons; a host of aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
