Susie Novosad wrote a sympathy message

“Ed and I were good friends as kids and I remember all the fun we had living across the street from each other. We went to school together and Ed's dad would pick us up for lunch. Coach Coons put Ed and I on the Jr. High football team when I was in the 5th grade and Ed was in the 6th grade. We must have been his pets .We grew up hunting and fishing together. Ed was a good shot. We fished together in Alaska and also in Port Mansfield as adults. I was privileged to have him as a best friend.”
