She was predeceased by: her father Walter "Shorty"; and her parents-in-law, Keith and Joyce Koonce. She is survived by: her mother La Rue Rathke (Oscar Raesz); her husband Kendall Jay Koonce; her sons, Kelly (Jenny), David (Sandra) and Eric (Kelly); her grandchildren, Aniya, Alena, Hunter, Hudson, Avery, Benjamin and Colt; her siblings, Janis Marek (Clifton), Nancy Mikulencak (Calvin) and Mike Rathke (Melanie); and her brother-in-law Bob Koonce (Lucy). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
