He was predeceased by: his parents, Emilio Chavez and Desideria Reyes Chavez; and his siblings, Pablo Chavez, Emilio Chavez, Ramiro Chavez, Ray Chavez, Alberto Chavez, Roberto Chavez, Joe Chavez, Thomas Chavez and Irene Perez.
He is survived by: his wife Terrie Chavez (Garcia) of Austin, TX.; his children, David Chavez (Gina), Gabriel Guerreo (Irene), Marcos Guerrero (Jasmine) and Rachel Guerrero (Ustacio); and his siblings, Adam Chavez and Rosa Medina. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home (604 State Hwy 95, Elgin, TX 78621). A rosary was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Providence - Jones Family Family Funeral Home (604 State Hwy 95, Elgin, TX 78621). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Family Church (302 W 11th St, Elgin, TX 78621).
