He is survived by: his wife Ethel Mae McVea; his daughters, Shelva Mays (Jonathan), Stacie Flenoy (Harold II) and Teisha Carson; his grandchildren, Devin, Haley, Harold III, Kamora, Teanna and Tristan; his siblings, Ellis McVea (Bessie), Lena Moore (Eugene), Lavanyan McVea and Ethel Ann McVea; and his aunts, Essie Riep and Bernice Pinchback. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
