With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marilyn Haygood of Tatum, Texas, born in Washburn, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 6, 2024 at the age of 79. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Vandre and Minnie Vandre (Wuedke); her husband Bruce Haygood; her daughter Penelope Morgan; and her brother Fran Vandre.
She is survived by: her son Peter Higley Jr. (Kelle) of Lacey, Washington; her grandchildren, Joah Higley of Lacey and Jennifer Chambers of Cheyenne, Wyoming; her caregivers, Stacy Hurd (Charles Brewer) of Tatum and Mandy McGill of Tatum; her grandson Eli Moore; her sisters, Maggie Trigleth and Helen Decot; and her sister-in-law Jane Biddle.
