He was predeceased by: his grandmother Lucille Shaw; and his brother Tony Brown. He is survived by: his parents, Shirley Brown of Tatum and James Brown of Converse, Louisiana; his children, Kevan Carpenter of Tatum, Kylee Carpenter of Tatum and Rylee Smith Carpenter of Tatum; his siblings, Charles "Buddy" Carpenter (Tracey) of Papalote, Shelley Wheeler (Jason) of Tatum and Jessica Carpenter (David Gonzales) of Tatum; and his nieces and nephews, Justin, Courtnie, Ashley, Zack and Brady.
