She was predeceased by: her parents, Doyle Benton and Lottie Dean Martin Fletcher; and her children, Sue Mitchell, Don Earl Thomas and Shella Thomas.
She is survived by: her husband Harry Rutland; her son Tony Thomas; her grandchildren, Tonya Reynolds (Erick), Tim Mitchell (Terri), Bryant Mitchell, James Thomas, Angel Thomas, Billy Thomas, Amber Thomas, David Thomas (Alisha) and Cody Thomas; her great grandchild Kylie Thomas; her brother Clifton Fletcher; and her pet Freckles. She is also survived by 12 great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM and at 2:00 PM. Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home (1131 TX-149, Carthage, TX 75633). A burial was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Martin Cemetery.
