He was predeceased by: his parents, Pedro Garcia and Julia Garcia; and his siblings, Jose Luis Garcia, Ray Garcia, Robert Garcia, Emma Alvarez, Irma Gallegos, Olga Villa and Alexandra Flores.
He is survived by: his wife Lola; his children, Manuel Garcia (Alicia) of Tahoka, David Garcia (Susie) of Tahoka and Louisa Bernal (Paul) of Tahoka; his grandchildren, Melanie Moya (Jesus), Matthew Garcia (Erica), Melissa Bernal (Daniel Alonzo), Paul Bernal, Jr., Zach Garcia, April Garcia, Michael Garcia (Erica) and Justin Pena; and his sister Lisa Villa (Juan) of O'Donnell. He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Porfirio's name to Hospice of Lubbock, 3702 21st Street, Lubbock, Texas 79410.
