He was predeceased by: his parents, Neely Brooks, and Elsie Brooks, Sr. (McKaughan); his grandparents, L. R., Lillie Brooks (Tidwell), J. S. and Valverde McKaughan, Sr. (Stevens); and his brothers, Richard Mack Brooks and Ronnie Gene Brooks.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Miller; his sons, Shannon Dwayne Mitchell-Percell of Dallas, Ronye Haley Mitchell-Percell of Dallas and Bradley Hoyt Bailey of Kansas; his brothers, Joe Taylor Brooks of Tahoka and Gary Alan Brooks of Tahoka; and his grandchildren, Sarah and Nathan Bailey of Kansas.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Combest Family Funeral Home - Tahoka (1821 Main St, Tahoka, TX 79373). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 3:15 PM to 4:15 PM at the Nevels Memorial Cemetery.
