She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Virgil Blacklock and Lorene Blacklock; her husband Jim Bob Porterfield; her siblings, Fern, Barbara, Kenneth and Glen; her children, Jimmy Don Porterfield of Tahoka and Amanda Brown (Byron) of Arlington; her granddaughters, Chelsea LeJan White and Crystal Shay Shoaf; her stepgranddaughters, Ashley Helms and Britany Brown; her great grandchildren, Cailyn Kelsey, Ellie, Emma, Everlee, John Ryan Shoaf, Mikayla and Tyson Helms; and her sister Gloria Gee of Seattle, WA. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
No less remarkable were her generosity, optimism and, dedication as she fostered four children, co-led the longest and largest Girl Scout troop in Lynn County, while cross stitching over 200 Christmas Stockings for friends and charity auctions.
