He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlos Benavidez and Adela Benavidez; his sisters, Francesca Morado, Maria Benavidez and Rosa Tanguma; and his wife Maria G. Benavidez.
He is survived by: his daughter Marie Benavidez Bernal (Joe Bernal) of Lamesa; his grandchildren, Soledad Trevino, Nina Ramirez, Josh Ramirez, Justin Ramirez, Baylee Benavidez, Krystasha Benavidez, Tiffany Ramirez, Tristen Benavidez, Diego Bernal, Jaden Benavidez, Maddie Benavidez and Keigan Benavidez; and his great grandchildren, Devon Pierce, Tatum Pierce, Teagan Trevino, Cierra Trevino, Hunter West, Rylee Trevino, Kooper Hiracheta, Kennedy Thomas, Aidden Benavidez, Dayton Angel and Dresun Angel. He is also survived by his grandchildren show animals.
