He was predeceased by: his children, Connie Atkins and Stanley Boyd; his grandson David Bufkin; his brother Carl Ledbetter; and his nephew Thomas Ray Brister.
He is survived by: his parents, Thomas Jarrett Ledbetter and Lois Roberson Ledbetter; his wife Wanda Ledbetter of Sweetwater; his sons, Joe Boyd of Breckenridge, Jerry Bufkin of Mineral Wells and David Bufkin of Flower Mound; his siblings, Ed Ledbetter (Carolyn) of Bowie, Floyd Ledbetter (Jane) of Sunset, Dean Ledbetter and Verna Brister (Z. L.) of Abilene; and his grandchildren, Jimmy Wayne Boyd, Les Sewell, Sherri Wood, Melody Lammons (Cody), Jeremy Bufkin (Ashley), Becky Bufkin, Matt Bufkin and Tommy Bufkin. He is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
