He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Thomas and Frances Loraine Palmer (Hertenberger); his in-laws, Joe and Charlene Zimmerman; and his daughter-in-law Sandy Palmer.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Palmer of Sweetwater; his children, John Palmer (Sandy Trammell) of Sweetwater and Dawn Buhrmann (Patrick) of Godley; his grandchildren, Brooke Palmer (Ethan Jones), Kira Buhrmann, Palmer Buhrmann, Riley Simmons, Alex, Zachary Bowman and Ivy Rutledge; his great grandchildren, Audrey and Bexleigh; and his sister-in-law Darlene Pannell. He is also survived by nieces, great nieces and great nephew.
