He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Julian and Ruth Odell Steele (Michael); and his wife Betty Sue Kidd. He is survived by: his children, Dwalyn Steele (Carolyn) of Berwick and Pamela Counts (Richard Nelson); his grandchildren, Dr. Julie Price (Jeff) of Morgan City, Jordan Steele of Morgan City, Dwalyn Smith (Kayla) of Clovis, Brittany Smith of Florida, Aaron Smith of Wisconsin, Conrad Smith of Roby, Elizabeth Galy (Andy) of New Orleans and Allison Oubre of Berwick; and his sisters-in-law, Ann Kidd Cearley of Denver, Jane Kidd Collins of Centerville and Wanda Kidd Jordan of Crockett. He is also survived by twenty-one great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
