She was predeceased by: her parents, Durman Burl and Lottie Kinnard (Sherman); and her sister Bobbie Pierson. She is survived by: her sons, John David Smith (Bonnie) of Sweetwater and Mark Smith (Teresa) of Sweetwater; her siblings, Ann Henderson of Colorado and Micky Kinnard (Trish) of Albany; and her great grandchild DeMarcus Gage. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
