She was predeceased by: her parents, Doug Douglas and Mildred Beatrice Ward; and her husband Travis Slaton. She is survived by: her children, Ronnie Slaton of Sweetwater, Teresa Lopez (Nick) of Westbrook, Kristie Hall (Joe) of Sweetwater and Sheila Pruitt (Roger) of Midland. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
