She was predeceased by: her parents, Noah Sipe and Lucille Sipe (Hale); her son Shannon Mahaffey (Frank Newman); her sister Floy Burleson Skelton; and her stepchildren, Julie Sawyers and Rick Newman.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Mahaffey (Penny) of Sweetwater, Shelia Brock (Jack) of Midland, TX and Sharon Morrow (Johnny) of Poteet; her stepchildren, Joey Newman, Nancy of Abilene, Gene Bartlett and Jan Bollinger of Eugene; and her brother Rev. Buddy Sipe (Carolyn). She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
