He is survived by: his mother Carmen Martinez (Pena) of Sweetwater; his wife Sophia Villanueva of Sweetwater; his son Jonathon Martinez (Katelynn Painter) of Abilene; and his siblings, Esther Tilley of Abilene, Sylvia Martinez of Sweetwater, Carmen Martinez Lewis (Robert) of Sterling, Louis Martinez of Sweetwater and David Martinez (Lucy) of Amarillo. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
