Jerry Edwin Reed Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 4, 2025, at the age of 80, Jerry Edwin Reed (Sweetwater, Texas) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Jerry Edwin may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Jerry Edwin touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward Reed and Mary Lucille Reed. He is survived by: his wife Cindy (Cindy) of Sweetwater; his children, Debra Sells (Mike Sells) of Sweetwater and Jeffery Reed (Christin Reed) of Sweetwater; and his grandchildren, Drew Sells, Zoey Sells of Sweetwater, McKenzie Reed and Jeffery Reed Jr. of Sweetwater. He is also survived by husband, but he was also a devoted father to his children.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 11:59 PM at the McCoy Funeral Home (401 E 3rd St, Sweetwater, TX 79556). A graveside service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Blackwell Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to the American Heart Association.
