She was predeceased by: her husband Juan Castillo; her parents, Jacinto Martinez and Maria Martinez; and her siblings, Alice Palafox and Benjamin Martinez.
She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Castillo of Sweetwater, Sylvia Castillo (Ambrocio Rosales) of San Angelo and Lucinda Flores (George) of San Angelo; and her sister Connie Heredia of Sweetwater. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twenty nine great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
