Frances F. Burton Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 11, 2025, at the age of 91, Frances F. Burton of Sweetwater, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Lee Cotherman and Alice Cotherman (Brannon); her son Gary Lee Burton; her daughter-in-law Cindy Burton (Brashear); and her siblings, L. V. Cotherman, Jack Cotherman, Lee Cotherman, Joe Cotherman and Nettie Edwards.
She is survived by: her husband U. S. Burton of Sweetwater, Texas; her children, Debra Soto (John) and Terry Burton (Anna) of Sweetwater, Texas; and her sisters-in-law, Barbara Hoover of Sweetwater, Pearl Ayers of Eula and Gaynell Cotherman Roberts of Sweetwater, Texas.. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home (403 Locust St, Sweetwater, TX 79556). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Shep Cemetery.
