He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayman Derrell and Jueneva Cason Whitaker. He is survived by: his daughter Marlee Hicks of Sweetwater; the mother of his children Leann Hicks of Dunn; his brothers, Michael Hicks and Kirk Hicks; and his stepsisters, Jeanie West and Debbie Williams. He is also survived by one uncle, numerous cousins, and nieces and nephews.
