He was predeceased by: his wife Alice Torrez; and his grandson Eric Torrez. He is survived by: his children, Benino Torrez, Jr., Delores Torrez, Ester Brown, Ruth Tomlin and Sarah Howe.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Ben's favorite charities the Veterans Administration or The Wounded Warrior Project.
