He is survived by: his wife Jane E. Pate; his children, Kristie E. Lavender and Kenny Pate (Jessica); his mother Frankie Pate; his grandchildren, Joseph W. Lavender and Lacey L. Lavender; and his siblings, Patti Leopold (Nelson) and Robert Pate (Tricia).
