It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edward Mathis of Sweeny, Texas, who passed away on October 20, 2021, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbert Byrd Mathis and Olean Alexander Mathis; his sister Christine Cross; and his great grandchild Paxton Mathis. He is survived by: his wife Vanessa Mathis; his son Damon Mathis (Alicia); his siblings, Marjorie Green, Coleen Miller, Joe Mathis, Franklin Mathis and Harry Mathis (Mable); and his friends, Norman Morgan (Jennifer), Jessie Anderson (Annette) and James Lester. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Due to the COVID-19 Virus, everyone must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
