He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Tu Nguyen and Calvin Phan; his stepmother Thu Nguyen; his wife Mindy Ho; his children, Christien Vin Phan, Carter Vin Phan and Chyanne Mia Phan; his siblings, Steve Phan and Jacqueline Phan (Francisco Casarez); his half-sisters, Kelly Nguyen (Son Nguyen) and Nga Nguyen; his stepsister Thuy Nguyen; and his aunt Lana Rolsen.
