She was predeceased by: her parents, Esperanza Salas Martinez and Hipolito Eugenio Martinez; her stepfather Thomas C. Martinez; her husband Oscar Hector Ramirez Sr.; and her brother Oscar Henry Martinez.
She is survived by: her children, Oscar Hector Ramirez Jr., Carmen Esperanza Ramirez Garza (Hector David Garza), Elvia Irene Ramirez Dutson (Robert F. Besfer) and Rolando Arturo Ramirez (Esther Alma Ramirez); her siblings, Thomas Geraldo Martinez, Marcos Antonio Martinez, Cynthia Carmel Martinez, Veronica Janet Martinez, Diana Angelina Martinez, Janie Martinez Longoria and Roland Martinez; her grandchildren, Christina, Jessica, Roland, Ilianna, Nicolas, Carina, Andrea, Miguel, Gabriella, Samantha and Carlos; and her great grandchildren, Lillian, Giselle, Gilbert and Madison. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
In lieu of flowers family request donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Irene's honor.
